Description
In winter, the Sella Massif is covered in snow, like an iced wedding cake that hides an intricate network of slopes, couloirs and snow fields. Accessing backcountry terrain on skis requires a jacket that will keep you dry and warm, without overheating. The Sella 3L Powertex Hybrid Jacket is a light, packable hybrid solution with a 3-layer fully waterproof construction. Its bodymapped 90/10 down around the torso adds breathable core insulation to let you keep moving without having to add or change layers.
The jacket’s main shell fabric is a 70-denier Powertex Responsive 3-layer laminate with a unique Responsive fabric coating that contains special thermoreactive minerals that recycle your far-infrared radiation (FIR), keeping you warmer for longer.
Where lightness is required in place of durability, this is provided by 20-denier version of our standard 3-layer Powertex fabric. Both fabrics have a high waterproof rating. On the breathability front, their performance is equally impressive to help reduce sweating when you’re skinning uphill. To protect the down insulation and allow it to loft fully, we use a bluesign®-approved downproof nylon lining fabric.
Free motion patterning and the athletic fit allow high freedom of movement in all situations. And the hood also ensures an ergonomic fit. With Velcro-adjust cuffs that cinch down tight over big mountain gloves to keep out the wind and snow.
The Sella 3L Powertex Hybrid Jacket is a Salewa Committed style for high performance with a low impact, made with Responsible Down Standard (RDS) down and a PFC-free durable water-repellent (DWR) finish.
