Important Update: Discontinuation of Salewa’s “2+1 Warranty Extension”

At Salewa, we are committed to transparent consumer communication and strict compliance with legal standards.

To eliminate legal uncertainty and ensure full compliance, the voluntary Salewa “2+1 Warranty Extension” initiative will be discontinued worldwide as of 27 September 2026.

What This Means for you

Products registered before 27 September 2026

If you completed your product registration before 27 September 2026, the benefits under the “2+1 Warranty Extension” remain valid in accordance with the original terms of the initiative.

Registrations on or after 27 September 2026

Product registrations completed on or after 27 September 2026 will no longer activate benefits under the “2+1 Warranty Extension” initiative.

Products with existing hangtags or packaging

References to the discontinued initiative may still appear on labels, packaging, or hangtags — particularly on products from previous production runs and existing stock. Salewa is actively phasing out these references. In line with responsible resource management and to avoid unnecessary waste, existing packaging materials will not be destroyed solely for this reason, and references may remain present until the phase-out period is concluded.

Please note that, regardless of any such reference on existing hangtags or packaging, the “2+1 Warranty Extension” will no longer be available for registrations completed on or after 27 September 2026.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected

This change applies only to the voluntary “2+1 Warranty Extension” initiative. Your statutory legal guarantee rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
