Description
Setting new standards for alpine climbing and technical mountaineering, the newly developed Ortles Master Cord offers a high breaking strength of more than 15 kN with high UV resistance at a low weight.Its hybrid construction uses ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene in the core – a material lighter and stronger than both steel and kevlar – and robust polyamide to make the protective sheath. The combination gives exceptional strength and excellent knotability.The Master Cord 6 mm pre-cut lengths have sealed and rounded ends and ready to use in a wide range of situations, including making prusik loops, creating anchors and abseil rigs, and threading slings and hourglasses. With Salewa sling and accessory cord colour coding for fast and easy identification. Our cords are classified by a uniform colour system. The primary colours green, blue, red or grey indicate the length of the cords.
