The Dolomitenmann includes a mountain run, a flight with a paraglider, a sprint with a kayak and a mountain bike course, on a challenging trail through the Dolomites, the start and finish are in Lienz, East Tyrol. The teams are made up of four specialists, each of whom completes one of the disciplines in the relay competition. "Let’s Rock the Dolomites" was the motto for the Red Bull competition and for Aaron Durogati on this day’s programme. Within the first few minutes of the flight, the 32-year-old SALEWA athlete managed to overtake Lukas Rifesser, who had started before him (0:33:42 hours). Durogati gave his teammates the fastest flight time of 29 minutes and 14 seconds securing an individual victory in paragliding ahead of Chrigel Maurer (0:30:07 hours). Durogati's team 'Pure Encapsulations' with team mates Philip Götsch (ITA), Tony Longo (ITA) and Gerhard Schmid (AUT) finished in second place overall in this year's Red Bull Dolomitenmann competition with a time of 4 hours, 11 minutes and 3 seconds.

Durogati, the son of a paraglider, who grew up in the South Tyrolean Mountains, enjoys combining paragliding with other kinds of sports and is well-known for setting new standards with Hike & Fly projects. "Flying isn't just fun, it gives new perspectives and shows me what is hidden behind the mountain peaks I grew up with," says Aaron Durogati. "I'm looking forward to the particular ambiance of the Red Bull Dolomitenmann 2018 and the team spirit we have established that motivates each of us to push to our limits. It's a home game for me, as I'm lucky enough to have been able to grow up around the Dolomites."
