PREMIERE TRAVERSEE HIVERNALE DES 3 CIME DI LAVAREDO

Dès 2012, les deux alpinistes Simon Gietl (IT) et Roger Schäli (CH) ont tenté et réussi l'ascension des 3 Cime di Lavaredo, excluant la pointe "Punta Frida" et "Preuss turn". Plus tard, en Décembre 2016,Gietl a réussi à grimper avec Vittorio Messini les 3 faces Nords des 3 Cime di Lavaredo. Avec la traversée hivernale des 3 Cime di Lavaredo, "Cima West, Cima Grande et Cima Piccola", et incluant pour la première fois les pointes "Punta Frida" et "Preuss Turn", Simon Gietl et le grimpeur et guide allemand Michael Wohlleben ont posé le 17 Mars une nouvelle pierre dans l'histoire de l'escalade alpine.

Les deux grimpeurs sont allés jusqu'au refuge Auronzo en vélo électrique, puis ont entamé leur première longueur sur l'arrête "Scoiattoli" à 06h45. En seulement 2h et 45min, ils ont atteint le pic "Cima West". En enchainant ensuite la voie normale, ils ont accedé via la" Dülferverschneidung" au fabuleux belvédère de la "Cima Grande" à l'heure du repas. En empruntant là aussi le rappel de la voie normale, ils ont pu enchainer la "normalroute" pour atteindre la "Cima Piccola". Puis en suivant la voie "Innerkofler" ils ont gravi l'arrête ouest de la "Punta Frida". En redescendant l'arrête est, ils ont atteint le sommet du "Preuss Turn" puis sont redescendus par le rappel de la voie "Preuss-Riss".

Après à peine 9h et 15min ils ont bouclé leur ascension et sont revenus au point de départ de leur aventure d'escalade alpine.
