OUR COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY
TRANSPARENCY
As world citizens and nature lovers, we are committed to preserving the environment and the dignity of work. That’s why it’s vital to know the whole supply chain, right to the origin of each product. Traceability demands transparency, and transparency brings accountability. And that's the way it should be.
The Higg Index is a standard for assessing social and environmental impacts and drive sustainability improvement in the apparel, footwear, and textile industry worldwide, through transparency.
TRANSPARENCY
Any business can talk a good transparency game. But not so many truly walk the talk. We prioritise openness in our initiatives and undertakings, because transparency is the cornerstone of trust. Find out more about all our initiatives in our most recent Sustainability report.
FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION
Fair Wear Foundation is an Independent non-profit organization that works with us companies to improve working conditions in textile and assembly factories. It has very high requirements and continually challenges us to try harder. Since 2016 we carry the "Leader" status for our hard work!
SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS
CHEMICAL SAFETY
We engineer our products to make sure they provide maximum safety and have minimum negative Impact. In cooperation with scientific partners, we have developed our own Salewa Chemical Policy. With this powerful tool we aim for industry best-practice, by establishing limits on the use of chemicals, that go beyond our legal obligations.
