Dirty Bags, Salt Skin and Limestone Dreams.

A group of women explore Sardinia through climbing, trail running, hiking, and outdoor living: moving between limestone walls, wild coastlines, mountain trails, hidden pools, and remote inland landscapes. More than a sports trip, an exploration of movement as a way of experiencing nature, friendship, and human connection more deeply.

Sardinia is the perfect location to explore all the outdoor activities that can enhance a road trip.
The route starts in Cala Gonone and then passes by some of the most beautiful beaches in eastern Sardinia, such as Cala Fuili and Cala Luna. Halfway along the route, you’ll tackle one of the most fascinating and challenging trails in Europe: the Selvaggio Blu. Continuing down the coast, you’ll come across perfect spots for rock climbing, such as Ulassai.

Planning the Trip

This isn’t a travel guide, but the story of an experience and of how the spirit of the mountains follows us on every adventure, whether near or far from home. The feelings of the travelers, as described in their travel journal, convey exactly that:

“This journey was never just about climbing, hiking, or reaching somewhere. It was about waking up next to women who move through the world with strength and softness at the same time. Packing and unpacking our little home every day. Following the light, the rock, the weather. Letting the landscape set the rhythm instead of the clock. Out there, everything is in motion. The sea, the wind against the wall, the breath finding its pace on the approach, the body adapting to the rock beneath your fingertips. Nature never stands still, and neither do we. Somehow, the more we moved, the more grounded we became.
Maybe that’s what the outdoors gives back: not an escape, but a quiet reminder that we’re part of something constantly changing. And that there is something deeply nourishing about letting yourself move with it, surrounded by people who do the same.”

"Between the limestone, the sea, and the campsites, we created our own little world.
A world of early alarms, climbing shoes drying in the sun, swims after long hikes, dinners that lasted for hours, and a full moon quietly watching over us every night. We left this place but there’s still a little bit of its rock on our fingertips.

Days so full they felt endless. Somewhere, we stopped counting time."
