The Ortles Tirol Wool Responsive Stretch Jacket provides lightweight (395 grams), water-repellent, all-weather insulation. It performs well on its own or when layered under a shell as a versatile mid-layer.

Ideal for active mountain use
The combination of lightweight, 4-way stretch nylon outer fabrics and stretch padding used in this hybrid jacket make it ideal for active mountain use. This is further supported by the ergonomically shaped sleeves and active fit.

Natural warmth & smart insulation
The 60-gram layer of TirolWool® Responsive Stretch padding gives natural warmth. It remains warm when wet and also offers the added benefits of thermoreactive synthetic insulation. TirolWool® itself was developed together with the Tirol Mountain Rescue Service and is made with wool from high-alpine Tirolean mountain sheep, sourced from local farmers, who are fairly paid for their wool. Our proprietary Responsive technology uses synthetic yarns loaded with thermoreactive minerals embedded within the fabric. They work to recycle the body’s natural infrared energy and release it back over time. This enables you to remain comfortable, perform stronger and recover faster as a result. We specially place the insulation to meet the needs of different areas of the body.

For additional storm protection, there is a rear-adjustable, insulated hood. The front zip has a full-length internal windproof flap. There are lightweight, uncomplicated elasticated bindings at the cuff and hem. And it comes with 2 zipped outer pockets and a zipped chest pocket.
