1. Can I wash my rucksack in the washing machine?

Better not. We recommend cleaning the rucksack by hand with a damp cloth or sponge, or with a soft brush.

2. Are there waterproof rucksacks – that is to say, are the SALEWA rucksacks waterproof?

Whilst the majority of the basic material is waterproof, water can enter via seams and zip fastenings. Most of the SALEWA rucksacks are water resistant, but not completely waterproof. However, we provide rain covers in various sizes, which reliably keep the contents of the rucksack dry – even in the heaviest storms. In many models, the rain covers are already integrated and neatly packed away.
