SLEEPING BAGS COMPETENCE

SALEWA has over 40 years of experience in the development and construction of high-quality sleeping bags. Those many years of experience combined with an outstanding capacity for innovation are what set SALEWA apart. Customer requirements are always the centre of focus. And because these differ so much, the mountain sports specialist offers a comprehensive range of products from light summer sleeping bags to expedition-tested Alpine sleeping bags for crisp cold winter nights. The borders of opportunity in preparation techniques, construction methods and material selection are constantly being stretched.
OUR SLEEPING BAGS ARE

  • extraordinarily light
The construction of the sleeping bag is the decisive factor when it comes to weight and size. With the choice of high-quality fillings and light outer materials, in addition to a well-considered mode of construction, SALEWA saves practically three times the weight.
  • always comfortably warm
A sleeping bag does not create warmth: with its insulation properties it simply retains available body heat. Basically, a sleeping bag will retain warmth all the better, the greater the fill power (the so-called “loft”) of its filling. So SALEWA relies exclusively on high-quality fillings and lays great store by the perfect construction of the most critical details such as thermal collars, draft tubes or the anatomically shaped hood.
  • very small to pack
Because SALEWA uses high-quality materials, you can compress your sleeping bag considerably, thus reducing your pack volume a great deal. The Diadem Ultra with down filling, for instance, loses an incredible 93 per cent of its original volume on packing. A comparable standard sleeping bag with identical insulation properties would lose just 78 per cent.
