Glen Plake is a living legend in the free skiing and big mountain skiing scene. He is a three-time world champion in free skiing, has conquered 60° steep ice walls at altitudes of over 6,000 m, and continues to do so now aged over 40. He and his mohawk hair style have had a colourful impact on the world of free skiing and big mountain skiing over the course of the last two decades. Skiers across the world know him for the unforgettable display of his skills in cult ski films such as “The Blizzard of Aahhhs”, “Fistful of Moguls”, “License to Thrill”, and  “The Edge of Never”. Well-known "Powder Magazine” nominated him as their "most influential skier of the past 35 years" in 2006. In October 2010, the US Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame named him in their class of 2010. Glen and his colleagues in free ski mountaineering share their product requirements and expertise with SALEWA developers and designers.
