SALEWA in RUSSIA: we are the champions!
CRYSTAL PEAK
The year 2010 has been very successful for SALEWA in Russia. As a good final of it, SALEWA team (ladies only) is awarded with a Crystal Peak for the best ascend of the year 2010 in Russia. This June the three ladies travelled to Carakorum aiming to ascend to Amin Brakk, with one of the biggest walls in the world (1650 vertical meters). They chose Czech Express rout, and they safely did it in 17 days. Besides of the Crystal Peak, there is one more award to a Salewa athlete: Marina Kopteva, the leader of the team, was awarded with a Steel Angel – a special prize for the best ascend made by a female team. Marina got the Angel for her incredible solo in Crimea. For the next year the ladies with Marina as a leader plan a first ascend in Chile. The expedition will be equipped in alpineXtrem Pro line. We wish our beauties a good luck and a fine weather in the southern hemisphere. Aim higher with SALEWA!
